Roberta A. Thompson Wick, 76, of Chandler, Ariz., formerly of West Sunbury, passed away on Friday, Feb. 10, 2023.

Roberta was born on Sept. 28, 1946, and was the daughter of the late Robert and Myrtle Thompson. She grew up in the family home above the family business, Thompson’s Market.

She graduated from Moniteau High School. She graduated in 1967 from the Western Pennsylvania School of Nursing.

Roberta is survived by her husband of 53 years, James Arthur Wick; her son, James Matthew Wick of Chandler, Ariz.; her daughter, Melissa Ann Gresham (Doug) of Portland Ore.; and her grandsons, Kyle Robert and Ryan James Gresham.

Roberta is also survived by her sister, Mary Jane McDowell (Jack) of Butler; her brother, Richard “Gus” Thompson (Marilyn) of Eau Claire; her sister-in-law, Cindy Thompson of Slippery Rock; and 13 beloved nieces and nephews and their families.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Francis “Butch” Thompson.

WICK — As per her wishes, there will not be a formal funeral service for Roberta A. Thompson Wick, who died Friday, Feb. 10, 2023.

Arrangements are under the direction of YOUNG FUNERAL HOME in Butler.

Her family thinks she would not mind if you raised a toast and told a Roberta story at your next family gathering.
