Credit union employees receive active shooter training
The 80 employees of Armco Credit Union received active shooter training at the Butler branch on Hollywood Drive on Feb. 20, which was closed for the Presidents Day holiday.
The training was coordinated by Sgt. Kevin Mikulan of the Zelienople Police Department and Sgt. Ed Lenz of the Adams Township Police Department.
Police officers throughout the county as well as the county Emergency Services Unit participated in the ALICE/active shooter training session, according to a news release from credit union officials.
Dennis Fehl, Armco Credit Union vice president, presented a donation of $1,000 to Mikulan and Lenz following the training.
