A Grove City man was killed Monday, Feb. 27, morning after his pickup truck struck a deer.

Sean Wike, 48, was traveling north on Sandy Lake-Grove City Road at 6:24 a.m. when his truck struck a deer, state police said.

The deer went through the windshield, hit Wike in the head, went through the rear window and landed in a ditch, police said. The truck came to a stop in a field along East Gilmore Road. Wike was pronounced dead at the scene.
