Police Reports
The following items have been collected from various police departments and district courts:
Feb. 18 — Colin S. Kelly, 42, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanors inhaling toxic substances and evading arrest. Police said he was huffing from a can of air duster.
Feb. 19 — Mark E. Hauserman, 28, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanors use and possession of drug paraphernalia and false identification of an officer. Police said he provided a false name and was found in possession of suspected heroin, hypodermic syringes, glass pipes and other paraphernalia.
March 1 — Michael A. Ingrassia, 40, of Seven Fields, was charged with misdemeanors DUI and accidents involving personal injury or property damage after police said he crashed his vehicle on Route 228. Police said Ingrassia showed signs of impairment, and a later blood test showed his blood alcohol content at 0.187% with traces of marijuana. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
Feb. 19 — Samara A. Belle, 18, of Turtle Creek, was charged with felony and misdemeanor theft. Police said she left Walmart with $1,318 in merchandise without paying for it.
Feb. 19 — Michael H. Johnston, 28, of Butler, was charged with felony burglary, misdemeanor theft and summary criminal mischief. Police said he broke into an apartment, smashed a TV and took a watch without permission.
Feb. 19 — Lindsay Kohnfelder, 26, of Pittsburgh, was charged with felony and misdemeanor theft. Police said she left Walmart with $1,198 worth of merchandise without paying for it.
Feb. 27 — Taylor Glunt, 20, and Mariah Hatch, 22, both of Ohio, were charged with felony counts of access device fraud, conspiracy, theft by deception and receiving stolen property and a misdemeanor charge of possessing an access device after police responded to Rent-A-Center in Butler Commons to investigate a report of a purchase using a stolen credit card.
March 2 — Charles R. Geyer, 42, of Sarver, was charged with a felony and misdemeanor of a false written statement after police said he answered a question inaccurately when applying to purchase a firearm at Rural King in Center Township.
March 2 — Jonathan M. Tacey IV, 25, of Parker, was charged with misdemeanors drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said he was found with stamp bags in his pants pocket and an empty syringe was found in his vehicle on July 19, 2022, in Allegheny Township.
March 1 — Troopers are investigating a referral from ChildLine about a report of inappropriate contact between a juvenile female, juvenile male and an adult male between Oct. 1 and Dec. 25, 2022.
Feb. 25 — Brady D. Bauer, 18, of Butler, was charged with a misdemeanor DUI and summary offenses including purchasing alcohol by a minor after police stopped him on Kaiser Road in Summit Township.
Feb. 24 — John Bradford, 53, of Red Hill, Montgomery County, was charged with identity theft, false identification to police, forgery, driving under the influence and other charges after police stopped him on North Main Street, Clay Township. Police said they learned Bradford was assuming the identity of another person, and that he was wanted on a warrant.
Feb. 22 — Amanda R. Curran, 35, of Sarver, was charged with four misdemeanor DUIs after police said she crashed her vehicle Feb. 4 on Callen Road, Clinton Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed she was impaired, and a later blood test showed Curran’s blood alcohol content at 0.22% with traces of marijuana. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
