A new and distinctive exhibit will be offered at Harmony Museum’s Stewart Hall beginning Saturday.

Community Collections will feature unusual or interesting collections of 13 local collectors, according to a news release from Historic Harmony.

After opening from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, the exhibit will be on display from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays until April 8.

One of the collection owners will speak at 11 a.m. on each of the exhibit’s three Saturdays.

On March 25, Cynthia Marshall, of Butler, will discuss her collection of vintage Santa Claus postcards, and Cal Kane, of Butler, will speak on his collection of dealership promotional cars.

On April 1, Al Zamba, of Evans City, will talk about his diverse collection of music boxes. Zamba will display his 1904 Cadillac at Community Collections.

The final speaker, April 8, will be author Mike Woshner, of Pittsburgh, who will discuss his unusual collection of gutta-percha, also known as Indian rubber, which was a precursor to plastic used as early as the Civil War.

Tickets for the exhibit and Saturday presentations are available at the door for $5, or free with a tour of Harmony Museum.

Museum tours are offered at 1 and 2:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

Stewart Hall is at 218 Mercer St., Harmony.
