April 2 ‘Education and Sharing Day’

Butler County Commissioners proclaimed April 2, 2023 to be “Education and Sharing Day, Butler County,” which seeks to highlight the need for moral and ethical education.

Commissioners signed this year’s Education and Sharing Day proclamation, which was delivered to representatives of Chabad Jewish Center of Cranberry and Butler County on March 28, according to a news release from Chabad Jewish Center of Cranberry.

The proclamation emphasized the importance of morals and ethics, including the values known as the Seven Noahide Laws, in governing lives and serving as the bedrock of civilization. It spoke about the guiding influence the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of righteous memory, has had in promoting these values of moral and ethical education.

Education Day, or Education and Sharing Day, is a day of national commemoration that has been designated by every president beginning with Jimmy Carter in 1978 to promote and emphasize the importance of moral and ethical education.
