Greensburg man accused of punching Walmart employee

A Greensburg man who is accused of punching a local Walmart employee faces a slew of charges, Butler Township police said.

Matthew J. Sartori, 36, was charged Wednesday, March 29, with misdemeanors driving under the influence, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, trespassing and two counts of simple assault following an incident at the store.

Police said they responded to reports of a man becoming physical with Walmart employees around 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at the Butler Township store. When officers attempted to take Sartori into custody, he resisted.

Sartori showed signs of impairment and smelled of alcohol, police said.

Employees told police that Sartori had grabbed a female employee, dug in his nails and made noises at her as she assisted him in purchasing a phone. As several employees asked him to leave, Sartori shouted at them and refused.
