Police Reports
The following items have been collected from various police departments and district courts:
March 16 — Brooke L. Foster, 39, of Mars, was charged with eight misdemeanors each of furnishing alcohol to minors and corruption of minors. Police said she provided alcoholic beverages at a party and drove minors to Sheetz to purchase alcohol. Her license was suspended for DUI at the time of the incident.
March 20 — Craig T. Taylor, 33, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of drug possession. Police said suspected methamphetamine and four hypodermic needles were found on his person.
March 20 — Kimberly Heard, 36, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Police said she was yelling and harassing people at Center Avenue Elementary School.
March 19 — Michelle M. Gibson, 50, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanors trespassing and drug possession. Police said she entered a neighbor’s apartment, refused to leave and was in possession of marijuana.
March 18 — Robert D. Shultz, 33, of Butler, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said several heroin stamp bags, a crack pipe and syringes were found on his person.
March 17 — Timothy J. Butler, 28, of Butler, was charged with two felony counts of driving under the influence after police said they stopped him on East New Castle Street. Police said field sobriety test showed he was impaired, and police said a suspected stamp bag of heroin was seen in the vehicle.
March 17 — James A. Cogley, 44, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said $2,755, hypodermic needles, a smoking pipe and empty stamp bags were found in his possession.
March 16 — Janet M. Smith, 70, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault. Police said she struck someone in the head with three times with a cellphone.
March 20 — Justin M. Ernst, 24, of Cochranton, was charged with two counts of felony theft and misdemeanor bad checks. Police said he purchased a vehicle using a check with insufficient funds.
March 16 — Deanna E. Efaw, 28, of Sewickley, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor DUI after police said they stopped her on East Main Street. Police said field sobriety tests showed she was impaired, and a later breath test showed Efaw’s blood alcohol content at 0.232%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
March 15 — Ross D. Betar, 21, of Pittsburgh, was charged with misdemeanors of furnishing alcohol to minors. Police said he sold alcohol to minors who used false identification.
March 16 — Kelly L. Cole, 43, of Valencia, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor DUI after police said she crashed her vehicle March 11 at Pittsburgh and Denny roads. Police said field sobriety tests showed she was impaired, and a later breath test showed Cole’s blood alcohol content at 0.283%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
March 20 — Kevin B. Murphy, 36, of Atlasburg, was charged with two counts of felony theft. Police said he took two rings that were not his and sold them to a pawnshop.
March 17 — Jack H. Hartle, 68, of Butler, was charged with felony drug sales and misdemeanors DUI and drug possession after police said they stopped him on Mercer Street, Butler City. Police said he showed signs of impairment, and a bag of crack cocaine and two glass smoking pipes were found in his possession.
March 16 — Jesse A. Rak, 41, of Pittsburgh, was charged with a felony and misdemeanor of a false written statement after police said he answered a question inaccurately when applying to purchase a firearm at Dunham’s in Center Township.
March 19 — Kelsey M. Reeves, 32, of Zelienople, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment. Police said she threw a cellphone at someone’s head.
