Thousands remain without power

About 4,000 homes in the county remain without electric service Monday following severe weather and high winds Saturday.

West Penn Power reported 3,843 of its customers did not have power Monday morning and Central Electric Cooperative reported 93 outages among its customers.

The utility company crews have been busy restoring power since 60 mph winds battered the region Saturday afternoon.
