Gisele Fetterman to speak at SRU
Slippery Rock University's Office for Inclusive Excellence will host Gisele Barreto Fetterman for a special conversation, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, at the Miller Theater in the Performing Arts Center on the SRU campus.
Fetterman will discuss how her intersectional identities have affected her life's journey. The event is free and open to the public.
Fetterman is an access and equity advocate and the former second lady of Pennsylvania. Her husband, U.S. Sen. John Fetterman, was previously Pennsylvania's lieutenant governor before being elected as a U.S. senator.
She is the founder of Free Store 15104, which aims to eradicate food and clothing insecurity, and she is the co-founder of 412 Food Rescue and For Good PGH.
