Cases increase against Cranberry Township man for loaning customer vehicles, police say
There are now five cases against a Cranberry Township man accused of driving and renting out his customers’ cars without their permission instead of repairing the vehicles.
With the additional three filings this week, a total of more than 10 cars are involved in the incidents at Oilology in Cranberry, owned by Keith R. Smith, 66.
Charging documents show that a combined total of nearly $11,000 in restitution is being requested from Smith.
In the new incidents, Smith was charged with misdemeanors unauthorized use of motor vehicles, theft and deceptive business practices.
