Excellent level of care and help given by Sunnyview Rehabilitation and Nursing Center
I am writing the editor to thank and make public Sunnyview Rehabilitation and Nursing Center’s benevolent aid in resolving a recent family crisis.
In early December of 2022, my infirmed father (aged 80 yrs. old) was evicted from his two-bedroom home in Ruidoso, NM. Although my family is originally from Butler, my father decided to move to New Mexico circa 2005. He lived there until the eviction.
Dad was being evicted because of dementia and an earlier foot injury which claimed every toe on his left foot. It became impossible for my father to adequately care for himself, let alone the property.
My plan for cleaning up the mess was to take two weeks off from work, fly to into NM, move the contents of a two-bedroom house into a 20 foot Uhaul, and then transport an elderly, confused person across country in the cab of the truck.
Sunnyview Rehabilitation and Nursing Center were the only ones who offered to help us. Tricia Kradel, the director, just so happened to be flying out of El Paso, Texas, during that time. Without knowing us, Tricia offered to escort my father to his plane, his connecting flights, and then to Sunnyview itself. This was a godsend because it allowed me to put my father in a safe place while I focused on moving back to Butler.
I would have failed without Tricia’s (and by extension, Sunnyview Rehabilitation and Nursing Center’s) help. I cannot thank them enough for their part in getting us through this crisis.
