For the first time in its 20-year history, the Pennsylvania Search and Rescue Council will hold its annual training summit in the Western Pennsylvania.

The summit will be taking place April 21 through 23 at Camp Bucoco in Butler County.

This event brings together more than 35 Search and Rescue teams from across Pennsylvania and neighboring states for three days of training and collaboration.

Participants engage in a variety of specialized training sessions such as search dog seminars, search management and technology classes, drone and helicopter demonstrations and a mock search exercise.

The event is presented by the Allegheny Mountain Rescue Group and STAT MedEvac. The summit is not open to the public.
