SRU baseball sweeps Mansfield

MANSFIELD — The Slippery Rock University baseball team pounded six home runs in sweeping a doubleheader Tuesday at Mansfield.

SRU (18-17) won the games by scores of 10-3 and 5-1.

Luke Trueman had four hits in the twinbill, including two home runs and five RBI. He has homered in six of his last eight games and leads the team with nine round-trippers.

Joseph Ehland also homered in both games. He had four hits, and five RBI. Koby Bubash had four hits, including a homer, and two RBI. Alex Robenolt had a pair of hits, including his fifth home run of the season.

Eoin Rossman got the win in the first game, allowing three runs in 5.2 innings of pitching. He struck out three. Robert Herr, making his second start of the season, was the winning pitcher in the second game. He allowed one run in 5.1 innings.

The Rock plays a doubleheader Friday at Seton Hill before hosting the Griffins for a twinbill at 1 p.m. Saturday.
