AT&T customers in Butler experience issues on Friday
Butler County residents who were unable to make calls Friday are expected to see their cell service restored early Saturday morning, according to a customer service representative.
AT&T Wireless customers across Butler County reported not being able to make calls or send texts Friday as the cellular network was hit with widespread countywide service interruptions. Many reported their issues to sites such as IsTheServiceDown.com, which has seen dozens of outage reports from disgruntled AT&T customers since 7:30 a.m. Friday morning.
According to a customer service representative, AT&T is aiming to restore service in the area by about 4 a.m. Saturday morning. AT&T’s internet and television services, such as DirecTV, are not reporting any outages in the area.
The wireless outage does not extend to AT&T’s competitors, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless, which are operating as normal in Butler County as of 5:30 p.m. Friday afternoon.
