Marc Alan Nagle

Nagle

Marc Alan Nagle, 67, of Butler, loving husband and father of two passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023, surrounded by his family in St. Augustine, Fla.

Marc was born on Dec. 27, 1955, in Kingston, Pa., to Gordon and Marguerite (MacKechnie) Nagle.

He grew up in Hughesville, Pa., and graduated from Hughesville High School in 1974.

He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Slippery Rock State College (now Slippery Rock University) in 1978. He went on to achieve his physical therapy credentials from the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences, and later a doctor of physical therapy degree from Chatham University.

On May 24, 1980, he married Gerriann Goch in Lower Burrell. Together, they were fortunate to experience many successes over the years. They proudly raised a daughter and son, Dana and Grant. Marc started a private practice in Butler, and treated patients for 41 years.

Retired as of September 2022, he and Gerriann were looking forward to many more of life’s blessings.

Marc was an avid golfer, hunter, fisherman, and family man. He also enjoyed tinkering with various home projects and helping his children make home improvements. Perhaps his favorite role was being Poppy to his grandsons, Landon and Miles, and granddaughter, Maysen. He was looking forward to welcoming his new granddaughter, Noa Lynn, in March of this year.

Marc was preceded in death by his father, Gordon; his mother, Marguerite; and his brother, Jeffrey.

He is survived by his beloved wife of over 42 years, Gerriann.

He also leaves behind his daughter, Dana Miller (son-in-law Gregory and grandchildren, Landon and Maysen) of Mars; his son, Grant (daughter-in-law, Allison and grandchildren, Miles and Noa) of Mars; his brother, Clifford (Theresa), Murrells Inlet, S.C.; his father-in-law, Walter (Dorothy) Goch New Kensington; his sister-in-law, Susan Nagle of Norfolk, Va.; his brother-in-law, Jeffrey (Diane) Mechling of Apollo, Pa.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

NAGLE — The family of Marc Alan Nagle, who died Thursday, March 9, 2023, will celebrate his life with a private service for immediate family and friends only.
