Penn Township Tool Bash set for Saturday
Saturday is the day of Penn Township’s Tool Bash, a daylong power tool raffle with the ticket sales benefiting the township’s volunteer fire department.
The gates open for the Tool Bash at noon Saturday at Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport, with the ticket drawings commencing at 1 p.m. Lucky ticket holders could walk home with prizes such as a 3,000 psi pressure washer, one of two 16-inch chain saws, a 225-piece Craftsman toolset, a $250 Ace Hardware gift certificate and many other prizes that will be raffled off throughout the afternoon.
The lucky winner of the grand prize drawing will receive a choice of either a Generac residential generator or a Husqvarna tractor.
Out of the 1,000 tickets that were initially printed, there are roughly 60 to 70 raffle tickets left for sale as of Tuesday afternoon, according to Penn Township volunteer firefighter Kent Shoemaker.
While they still last, tickets can be purchased at the Penn Township Municipal Building on East Airport Road, or by contacting the Penn Township Volunteer Fire Department at 724-586-5030.
