Larry Dean Rider, 75, of Grove City, and formerly of Boyers, Pa., Warren, Ohio, and Sarasota, Fla., passed away in Grove City on Saturday, April 29, 2023.

He was born Oct. 3, 1947, in Butler, the son of the late Dean Leroy Rider and the late Pearl Martha Halasy Rider.

Larry grew up with three brothers in Boyers and graduated from Moniteau High School. He served six years in the Army National Guard out of Grove City and worked 34 years as a supervisor and foreman for General Motors in Ohio.

Larry loved spending his time outdoors and was an avid fisherman and rifle and bow hunter of both small and large game. He was also an enthusiast of vintage cars, four-wheeling, and motorcycling — spending as much time as possible riding his Harley. Larry was an accomplished woodworker, builder and carver, having made beautiful gifts for family and friends over the years.

Survivors include his daughter, Kristy Rider of Warren, Ohio; three brothers, Donald (Jan) of Boyers, Dennis (Ginger) of Grove City, and Richard (Pam) of Boyers and a number of nieces and nephews.

RIDER — There will be no public services for Larry Dean Rider, who died Saturday, April 29, 2023.

Arrangements are under the direction of SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock
