Ladies going back out on the town

The Ladies Night Out at Butler Country Club always has been popular, but after an absence of nearly four years, the Butler Health System Foundation event has sold out more than a week before it actually takes place.

Kris Bowser, development and events manager for Butler Health System Foundation, said Ladies Night Out used to take place in October and benefit cancer support services at Butler Health System. For its return this year, Ladies Night Out will take place May 16, and proceeds from the event will benefit Women’s Imaging.

“We've had 300 people in the past, but this year we had some people call and ask if there would be tickets left,” Bowser said. “It has always been a well-attended event, but there seems to be more enthusiasm this year.”

Ladies Night Out features a number of shopping vendors, as well as a designer handbag raffle and 50/50, Bowser said. There also is food and music from a DJ, making for a casual night out in Butler County.
