ACMH Hospital president and CEO to retire
After 20 years of service to ACMH Hospital in Kittanning, president and CEO John I. Lewis plans to retire in summer of 2023.
Lewis’s notice had been pending, but the hospital formally announced his retirement Wednesday, May 10. A succession plan has not yet been finalized by the hospital’s board of directors and a formal decision is anticipated to be completed in the next couple of weeks.
“After long and thoughtful deliberation, I have decided to retire my position as president and CEO of ACMH Hospital,” Lewis said. “My career in the health care industry spans over 45 years, and while I have enjoyed it tremendously, I feel it is time to spend more quality time with family and friends.”
During his tenure, Lewis has directed growth and expansion of the hospital’s services and amenities.
Lewis was brought on as president and CEO in 2003. He also serves on the hospital’s board of trustees and the hospital’s parent organization, Armstrong Center for Medicine and Health.
