Linda L. Beatty, 77, of Grove City passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, May 12, 2023, following a five-month illness.

Linda was born in Natrona Heights on July 8, 1945, the daughter of Logan and Betty (Noble) Cribbs. She married David R. Beatty on July 21, 1967.

She was a graduate of Freeport High School in 1963 and the Butler Memorial School of Nursing, and she received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Slippery Rock University.

Linda retired in 2005 as director of Student Health Services at Slippery Rock University, where she was employed as a nurse for 24 years.

She was an active member of North Liberty Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of session, deacon, Sunday school teacher, and volunteer for numerous committees and activities.

Linda enjoyed her friends, gardening, and volunteering with the Grove City Historical Society.

Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Her home and garden were a reflection of the love she had in her heart. Her kindness to others will be dearly missed.

Linda is survived by her husband David at home; a daughter, Laura Stull; a son, Craig (Tonya) Beatty; seven grandchildren, Sydney, Mason and Skylar Stull, Morgan, Jacob, Jessie and Allie Beatty; three sisters, Sandy (Darryl) Elder, Beth (Sue) Cribbs, and Leisa (Tom) Brothers; and two brothers, Logan Cribbs Jr., and Terry Cribbs.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Shirleen Mitchell; and a brother, Keith Cribbs.

BEATTY — Visitation for Linda L. Beatty, who died Friday, May 12, 2023, will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at North Liberty Presbyterian Church.

The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

The burial will be at North Liberty Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in Linda’s name to North Liberty Presbyterian Church, 209 North Liberty-Plain Grove Road, Grove City, PA 16127.
