Sweeny

James A. Sweeny, 68, of Saxonburg, passed away May 18, 2023, at his home.

Born Aug. 7, 1954, he was the son of James E. Sweeny and Carrie Cooper Sweeny.

Jim worked as a press adjuster for Du-Co Ceramics in Saxonburg.

He enjoyed gardening, upcycling, history and watching classic movies. Jim was especially proud of being a Freeport boy.

Surviving are his longtime companion, Glenda Keck of Saxonburg; his sister, Kathy Wendell of Fenelton; and his nieces and nephew, Michelle Roofner of East Brady, Lisa Hiles of Cowansville, Rob Bowser of Kittanning and Kelli Rhoderick of Fenelton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Linda Bowser.

SWEENY — A celebration of life will be held at a later date for James A. Sweeny, who died Thursday, May 18, 2023.

Memorial donations may be made to any animal shelter.
