Evelyn Temoshenko
Evelyn Rose (Mrozinski) Temoshenko, 71, of Kane, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Hamot Hospital in Erie.
Born on Oct. 15, 1951, in Natrona Heights, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Sr. and Mary (Hrimuth) Mrozinski.
Evelyn was a Knoch High School graduate, Class of 1969.
Evelyn was the beloved wife of James Temoshenko, whom she married in 1993.
Evelyn was a hardworking businesswoman, and along with her husband, Jim, owned the Poor Man’s Deli/Quik Stop in Kane for 14 years, as well as Cody’s Cones at Lantz’s Corner. Working tirelessly beside Evelyn at the Poor Man’s Deli was the best team of girls one could wish for and whom she often praised.
Evelyn had a green thumb and enjoyed her large and plentiful garden, and stocking her freezer full of her good things to eat. Evelyn also took great pride in the house that she and Jim restored over the years. Friends and animals could always be found at their house in Kane. Evelyn was a fan of “Seinfeld,” Tom Petty and Pink Floyd.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Jim, and her children, Chad Livingston of Butler, Jeremy Livingston of Marienville, and Cody Temoshenko of Williamsport; her grandchildren; her best friend/dog, Betty, and Kitty the cat; and her best friend forever, Kim Sasse of Saxonburg.
Also surviving are Evelyn’s four brothers, Clarence Jr. of Saxonburg, John of Suffolk, Va., Eugene of Saxonburg, and Walt of Marlton, N.J.; as well as two sisters, Carol Redman of Valencia, and Nancy Boyd of Saxonburg. Evelyn is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her father-in-law, John Temoshenko Sr.; and one brother-in-law, Jack (Carol) Redman.
All who knew Evelyn will miss her fun-loving, kind and generous heart. Her spirit will remain with all of us.
