Bikers invited to ride, raise funds for homeless vets

Motorcyclists are invited to have some fun while raising money for homeless veterans in Western Pennsylvania.

The Ride for Homeless Vets will start off at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 11 at the Natrona Heights VFW, 894 Veterans Lane, Natrona Heights.

The first stop in the poker run will be the Saxonburg VFW, and several other stops will be included in the scenic ride.

Cash prizes, President’s Choice Bike Trophy, lunch, dinner and entertainment are included.

The cost to participate is $20 per rider and $15 per passenger for those who preregister, and $25 per rider and $20 per passenger for those who register the day of the event.

The deadline for preregistration is June 1. Registration will begi at 9 a.m. on the day of the event.

The ride has raised more than $350,000 for local homeless veterans in its 16 years.
