Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School
The commencement ceremony for Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School was May 24 in the high school gymnasium in Foxburg.
Drew Elizabeth Whitcomb was the 2023 valedictorian and Aletha Lynn Farrington was the salutatorian.
Drew is the daughter of Andy and Shannon Witcomb of St. Petersburg.
She was the president of student council, vice president of National Honor Society treasurer of the senior class, co-captain of the cross country team and captain of the track team.
Drew was named student of the week, made the principal’s list and was awarded the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizens Award.
Her future plans are to attend Gannon University to become a marine biologist.
Aletha is the daughter of Jamie and Melinda Farrington of Parker.
She was the vice president of student council, president of National Honor Society, secretary of the senior class and co-captain of the cross country team.
She was named student of the week, student of the month and made the principal’s list.
Her future plans are to attend PennWest Clarion to pursue a dual major in early childhood and special education.
