Karns City Area Jr./Sr. High School
The Karns City Area Jr./Sr. High School commencement ceremony was at 7 p.m. May 24 at Diehl Stadium at the high school.
The senior speakers were Addisyn Christie, class president; Cecilia Morrow, valedictorian; and Reese Booher, salutatorian.
Addisyn is the daughter of Jennifer and Kirby Christie of East Brady. She was president of student council, and participated in varsity soccer, home ec. club, and Spanish club.
She plans to attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania and major in early education and special education.
Cecilia is the daughter of Brenda Ealey and Sean Morrow of Chicora. She was vice president of student council, treasurer of the National Honor Society, president of the science club, and participated in varsity soccer, varsity cheerleading, and drama club.
She plans to attend Duquesne University and major in chemistry.
Reese is the daughter of Tracy and Jason Booher of Cowansville. She was president of the National Honor Society, and participated in student council, cheerleading, Spanish club, science club, and the golf team.
She plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh and major in neuroscience.
Class officers are Addisyn Christie, president; Emma Dailey, vice president; Taylor Miller, secretary; and Emma Slaugenhoup, treasurer.
