Gall named Vogeley winner
Butler Senior High School graduate Autumn Gall was selected as the recipient of the 41st annual Theodore K. Vogeley Scholarship.
She was chosen from 45 applicants, 21 of whom were interviewed. The scholarship will cover full tuition, fixed fees, room and board, and books.
Autumn is the daughter of Richard and Heidi Gall of Butler. She will attend Slippery Rock University to major in biology and pre-physician assistant.
The number of Vogeley recipients varies each year due to interest earned on the trust and the costs of the students' colleges or universities. A committee is responsible for selecting the recipients.
Due to the availability of remaining funds, two other students will receive a four-year fixed-amount scholarship.
The recipients of the four-year fixed-amount scholarships are: Zachary Shields, $7,500 annually to a maximum of $30,000; and Annabelle Turner, $7,500 annually to a maximum of $30,000.
