EAU CLAIRE — State police confirmed Sunday, June 11, that two motorists were killed after a collision between a pickup truck and a motorcycle on North Washington Street in the borough.

The collision was first reported at 5:56 p.m. It was unclear Sunday whether anyone else was injured or involved in the crash.

Fire and rescue agencies from both Eau Claire and Emlenton responded, blocking off the road and creating detours for motorists. The collision happened less than a mile from the Eau Claire Volunteer Fire Department.

A news release from the Pennsylvania State Police is expected.
