Michael John Young Jr., 21, of Butler, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023, at his home.

He was born April 26, 2002, in Butler, the son of Michael J. Young Sr. and Tricia Smith.

He enjoyed welding, masonry and collecting old coins. Michael worked at United Plate Glass Company.

Surviving are his father, Michael J. (Gloria) Young Sr. of Butler; mother, Tricia (Edward Scott) Smith of Butler; three sisters, Kailin (John) Charmley, Renee Young and Tressa Young, all of Butler; three brothers, Austin Young, Dason Scott and Kayne Scott, all of Butler; paternal grandparents, Alice and Paul Young of Butler; maternal grandmother, Deborah Smith of Butler; his uncle, Josh Smith; three great-uncles, Brian, Larry and Guy Smith; three stepbrothers, Donovan, Dana and DJ Molovich, all of Butler; a stepsister, Makaela Scott; four nephews, Kannon Bender, Caleb Charmley, Noah Smith and Rowan Reott; and his niece, Brenna Reott.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Regis Smith, and a great-uncle, Paul Smith.

YOUNG — Friends of Michael John Young Jr., who died Saturday, June 10, 2023 will be received at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

A graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, 535 Mercer Road, Butler, at 11 a.m. Friday.
