Daniel J. Laurent, 68, of Butler, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford.

Born in Butler on Jan. 31, 1955, he was a son of the late Donald R. and Helen M. Houllion Laurent.

Dan was employed as a truck driver for Collective Distribution Services.

A veteran, he was reservist in the U.S. Marines.

He was a member of All Saints Parish, Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

Dan was an avid hunter and fisherman most of his life.

He is survived by his sister, Donna Best, and her husband, Larry, of Georgia; two aunts; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David Laurent and Steven Laurent.

LAURENT — Friends of Daniel J. Laurent, who died Sunday, June 11, 2023, will be received in the MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave., Butler, on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. from All Saints Parish, Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., Butler, with Rev. Kevin C. Fazio officiating.

Burial will take place in Saint Michael’s Cemetery.

The family thanks the staff of Cranberry Place, where Dan had been a resident, and Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford for their outstanding care.
