Dress for Success Pittsburgh, which is known to provide business and business casual clothing to women, opened its new Mobile Boutique Dedication & Warehouse on Wednesday, June 14, at 126 23rd St. in Pittsburgh.

Their new warehouse will help Dress for Success Pittsburgh organize, accept and prepare donations ahead of mobile service events.

“The new location is our warehouse, where we store two of our mobile boutiques; accept in-kind donations of clothing, shoes and accessories; sort and organize donations; and prepare for upcoming mobile services events, including the community pop-up events we bring to women in Butler,” Dress for Success Pittsburgh CEO Tanya Vokes said.

The mission of Dress for Success Pittsburgh is to empower women who are entering and returning to the workforce across the region, including Butler, Allegheny, Fayette, Greene and Washington counties.

Dress for Success Pittsburgh has a growing presence in Butler, through mobile services events at community organizations and universities, such as Butler SUCCEED and Slippery Rock University.

In addition to the warehouse, the event debuted their third mobile boutique which allows Dress for Success Pittsburgh to reach neighboring regions such as Butler.

“Shifting to the mobile services delivery model has allowed us to eliminate the brick-and-mortar location we had previously in downtown Butler,” Vokes said. “We’re able to provide services more efficiently and effectively. In fact, we’ve been able to reach 40% more women who live and work in Butler since making this change last year.”

Dress for Success Pittsburgh still operates two brick-and-mortar locations in Allegheny and Washington counties.
