CENTER TWP — A two-vehicle crash Monday on West Sunbury Road near North Drive left a crossover SUV in a ditch and a Mercedes-Benz on a lawn.

Unionville Volunteer Fire Company and state police responded to the crash at approximately 1:15 p.m.

Two patients — both the driver and passenger of the Mercedes-Benz — were transported by Butler Ambulance Service to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, said Mike Pflugh, Unionville fire chief.

“Both cars are totaled,” Pflugh said.

A medical helicopter was placed on standby, but later called off, he said.

As of 1:45 p.m., the northbound lane of West Sunbury Road near North Drive remained blocked off. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
