Environmentally focused summer camps available in Slippery Rock
The Macoskey Center for Sustainability Education & Research at Slippery Rock University is offering several summer camps centered around environmental activities and education.
The remaining camps are Conservation Heroes, slated July 10 through 12, for children ages 6 to 14 who will do hands-on activities to solve problems and play on the university’s ropes course; and Farm to Fork, set July 17 through 19, for children ages 6 to 11 who will “dig into sustainable gardening, explore the Macoskey Center’s food forest and learn about agriculture from the ground up.”
The Macoskey Center and the Storm Harbor Equestrian Center are also offering day camps July 24 and Aug. 7, which are for children ages 7 to 12.
