Speckled Hen Chocolate Company in Clinton Township recently received “Best Christmas Idea” Award at the Retail Confectioners International Chocolate Convention in Milwaukee, Wis., for its edible red Christmas ornament treat.

The creation is included in each box of the company’s assorted chocolates during the holiday, according to a recent news release.

“I am thrilled to continually push the boundaries of chocolate innovation and bring delight to our customers with every visit,“ said Valerie Cannon, Speckled Hen owner. ”It's an honor to share our successful ideas with the industry and contribute to its ever-evolving landscape.“
