Catherine Jane (Duceour) McIntire, 86, of Gilpin Township, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023, at Concordia of Fox Chapel, in Cheswick.

A daughter of the late Lawrence Duceour and Helen (Wilson) Duceour, she was born on Sept. 2, 1936, in Natrona Heights.

Catherine was a homemaker who was also employed as a secretary for PPG Industries for a little while. She was a member of Christ the King Church in Gilpin Township and former member of Hebron Evangelical Lutheran Church in Leechburg. Catherine was an avid dog lover who enjoyed reading and solving crossword and word search puzzles.

Survivors include two sons, Jack E. McIntire (Sue), of Gilpin Township, and Russell L. McIntire (Jennifer), of Butler; a daughter, Teri A. Shaffer (Greg), of Allegheny Township; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ann Wetzel, of Aurora, Ohio, and Diane Batten (Denny), of Sarver.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Alvin “Jack” McIntire, in October 2019; and brothers, Ronald Duceour and Lawrence “Bruz” Duceour Jr.

MCINTIRE — Private visitation and funeral ceremonies for Catherine Jane (Duceour) McIntire, who died June 26, 2023, will be held for the family.

Interment will be at Forks Lutheran Church Cemetery in Gilpin Township.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the CLAWSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 170 Main St., Leechburg.
