Tammula Lee Sims, 63, of Butler, died Tuesday night, June 27, 2023, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, following an illness.

Born July 3, 1959, in Butler, she was the daughter of Donald R. Moyer Sr. and Patricia Osborne Bowser.

She had been a housewife and also worked as a school bus monitor for Laidlaw Bus Company. She loved gardening and cooking, and she made the best “Saturday Night cheeseburgers” around. Well loved by her family and friends, she was a kind and giving person.

Survivors include one son, Christopher L. (Jenny) Moyer of Kintnersville, Pa.; one brother, Chad (Joanne) Moyer of Virginia; three sisters, Veronica (John) Hoadley of West Chester, Lorraine Moyer of Butler and Brianne (Daniel) Pfost of Virginia; one grandson, Christopher Henry Moyer; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Sims; her parents; and one brother, Donald R. Moyer Jr.

SIMS — There will be no public visitation for Tammula Lee Sims, who died Tuesday, June 27, 2023. A celebration of life service is being planned for a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Skye’s Spirit Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, 889 Farren Surrena Road, Harrisville, PA 16038.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the JAY BRYAN FUNERAL HOME, 443 Main St., Prospect.
