Severe thunderstorm warning in effect in Butler County
A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 8:30 p.m. in southwestern Butler County, the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh announced Thursday evening.
The storm is moving northeast from Cranberry Township at 15 mph, with 60 mph wind gusts and impact to trees and power lines, the report stated.
According to The National Weather Service, Cranberry Township, Franklin Park, Economy, Wexford, Homeacre-Lyndora, Meridian, Zelienople, Seven Fields, Gibsonia, Oak Hills, Evans City, Mars, Nixon, Bradford Woods, Prospect, Harmony, Valencia, Connoquenessing, Callery and Warrendale could be affected.
