1 dead in crash that closes Interstate 80 for 6 hours
One person was killed in a three-vehicle accident at around 12:45 p.m. Monday on Interstate 80 in Mercer County, according to Mercer County Coroner John Libonati.
Eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 in Mercer County, about 3 miles east of its intersection with Interstate 79, were closed for about six hours between Exit 19A and Exit 24.
The crash involved three vehicles: a Jeep that was heavily damaged, a Dodge Ram pickup truck hauling a trailer and a commercial tractor-trailer, according to media reports.
The name of the person who died has not yet been released.
The roadway reopened at around 6:40 p.m., according to PennDOT.
