Clinton Township to hold cleanup day Sept. 16

CLINTON TWP — Clinton Township will hold a municipal cleanup day from 8 a.m. to noon Sept. 16 at the township building on Saxonburg Boulevard, giving township residents a chance to safely and cleanly dispose of unwanted materials.

The board of supervisors and other township staff members settled on the date because it is one of the few dates which all of the necessary personnel will be available. The event will be open only to residents of the township.

According to Clinton Township director Ashley Kohley, this event is distinct from the five other recycling events which have taken or will take place throughout Butler County this year. While all of those have been largely managed by the trash pickup company Noble Environmental, this one will be overseen by Sarver-based Adamik Trucking, which will bring in dumpsters and separate refuse by item type.

“It’ll be general garbage, scrap, paper products, oil, appliances, but no electronics,” Kohley said. “And tire collection is offered for a charge per tire disposal.”

Elsewhere in Butler County, other mass waste collection events are scheduled for Sept. 2 in Penn Township and Nov. 11 in Adams Township.
