Jack H. Tunney III passed away suddenly at his home in Mount Dora, Fla., on Sunday, July 16, 2023. He was 57 years old.

Jack was born Aug. 31, 1965. He grew up in Mars and attended Mars Area schools, graduating from high school in June 1984.

Over the years, Jack enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, boating, traveling and his motorcycles. He participated in motocross competitions as a teenager.

Jack spent many years living and working in Florida. He worked as an auto body repairman at several Florida dealerships until his health forced him to retire.

Jack is survived by his daughter, Hannah and his grandson, Oliver, currently of Mars. Also surviving are his parents, Eleanor M. Tunney and Jack H. Tunney Jr., of Volant; his sister, Jennifer L. Yanssens and nephew Kyle D. Yanssens, of Bairdford, Pa.; and his sister, Laura Salzano, of Pittsburgh.

Jack will be missed by both family and friends.

TUNNEY — There be a private interment for Jack H. Tunney III, who died Sunday, July 16, 2023, at William Penn Memorial Cemetery, Churchill Borough, Pittsburgh.

Arrangements are under the direction of SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 310 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington.
