Missing woman who triggered search charged with theft Thursday, says men assaulted her
An Ohio woman who was reported missing and endangered earlier this week was charged with theft, Thursday, July 27, after she told police she stole a vehicle to escape men who assaulted her in Winfield Township.
Sarah A. Hopkins, 20, of Canal Fulton, Ohio, was charged with two counts each of felonies burglary, theft and criminal trespassing, according to documents.
State police and numerous fire departments had spent about four hours searching for Hopkins early Monday, July 24, after her vehicle had been found at the intersection of Ridgeview and Moorehead roads in Winfield Township.
