Butler grad first winner of scholarship
Emma Steadman
Emma Steadman, a 2023 Butler Senior High School graduate and student council president, is the recipient of the first Women in Communications Scholarship from Baker Public Relations of Pittsburgh and Albany, N.Y.
The $1,500 scholarship was established to award young women looking to pursue a future in communications, public relations, marketing and journalism.
Steadman plans to attend New York University in the fall, where she will study English literature, journalism and political science.

Steadman is the daughter of Tracy and Nathan Steadman, of Butler.
