Coroner called to Rt. 8 crash in Richland Township, Allegheny County
The coroner was called to a multi-vehicle crash involving a dump truck on Route 8 in Richland Township, Allegheny County, Friday afternoon, Aug. 4, according to reports by Pittsburgh media outlets.
All lanes of Route 8 were closed between Cook Road and Vista Vue Drive for upwards of five hours. The road was closed just before 2 p.m. Friday, according to PennDOT.
It was reopened as of 7:41 p.m., according to a Facebook post by the Northern Regional Police Department.
Earlier Friday, the department asked drivers to avoid the area, saying the road was closed near Walmart Drive for an “accident investigation.”
