Octoberfest returning to Saxonburg for 5th year
Sprankle’s Octoberfest is returning to Saxonburg from Sept. 8 to 10 for its fifth anniversary.
The weekend kicks off Sept. 7 with the Octoberfest Parade, hosted by the Saxonburg Area Business Association, and the event will follow the next day at the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company carnival grounds.
Annual Octoberfest favorites will be returning, including the vendor showcase, traditional polka music, authentic German food offerings, stein holding competition, dachshund race and costume contest, cornhole tournaments, Kinderland Kid’s Area, tractor show and more.
New activities this year include an archery range, World of Reptiles, an Autobahn car show, a selfie scavenger hunt and more.
The Saxonburg Area Business Association will be hosting a Minglefest taking place alongside Octoberfest.
There will be free parking and a shuttle service at Lernerville Speedway to take people to and from the events.
