City traffic is being affected Friday afternoon, Aug. 18, after a truck hit a telephone pole on East Jefferson Street near May’s Music Shoppe.

According to county dispatchers, East Jefferson is closed in both directions near the scene of the crash and traffic is being rerouted.

A telephone pole is laying in the roadway. No injuries were reported, according to officials.

City police, Butler Bureau of Fire and Butler Ambulance Service are responding to the scene.
