Lyndora Bakery on the market
An Aug. 15 post on the Lyndora Bakery’s Facebook page said the business would not be reopening following the owner’s stint working at the Butler Farm Show this year.
The writer of the post said, “It is with a heavy heart that I am letting you know that we will not be reopening,” and that they will miss everyone who has interacted with the business in its decades-long history.
The business responded to a Facebook message saying the post was its only public statement for now.
Although the owners of the bakery are stepping away, Chuck Swidzinski, a Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, said Wednesday, Aug. 23 that the business and all of its assets are for sale.
Swidzinski said the purchased bakery will net the buyer the building, including all of the equipment inside, as well as the recipes the bakers used to make the shop’s treats.
Swidzinski said the apartments are still filled with furniture dating back decades, because they haven’t been occupied in years.
“It's like a step back in time when you’re up there,” Swidzinski said. “It has all the old furniture in and everything. Like stepping into Lucy Ricardo's house.”
Swidzinski said the selling price for the Lyndora Bakery is $139,900.
