Judith I. Sarvey, 82, of Prospect, died Wednesday morning, Aug. 23, 2023, at The Grove at Harmony.

Judy was born in Butler on Nov. 3, 1940, and was the daughter of Melvin and Hazel Ferne Fennell.

She was a member of the Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church, the Prospect Community Women’s Club, former member of the Prospect Community Library Board and a lifetime member of the Prospect Volunteer Fire Company. Judy was the bookkeeper for M.D. Sarvey Plumbing and Heating in Prospect, and at one time worked at Magnetics in East Butler. Judy was a 1958 graduate of Butler High School.

Survivors include her husband, Marlin F. “Sonny” Sarvey, whom she married Aug. 3, 1966; three daughters, Kellie (Brian) Rea, of Worth Township, Kerrie (George Cook) Sarvey, of Virginia, and Karin (Ray) Kroll, of Renfrew; one brother, Timothy (Heather) Fennell, of Saxonburg; two sisters, Donna (Tim) Baughman and Linda Swain, both of Butler; and seven grandchildren, Spencer (Ashley) and Alyssa Rea, Bryce, Brynlee and Brylynn Cook, and Kailyn and Kyler Kroll.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents.

SARVEY — Visitation for Judith I. Sarvey, who died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023, will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at JAY BRYAN FUNERAL HOME, 443 Main St., Prospect.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church, 727 W. Old Route 422, Butler, with the Rev. Jeff Curtis, former pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will take place at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Prospect.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Prospect Community Library or to the Prospect Volunteer Fire Company.
