Off-duty Butler state trooper injured while assisting at crash
An off-duty state police trooper from the Butler barracks was injured Thursday morning while assisting at the scene of a traffic accident in Allegheny County.
“He had stopped to help once he came upon the crash. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition with non-life threatening injury,” said Lt. Adam Reed, director of the State Police communications office.
The crash reportedly took place on the Interstate 376 near the Ridge Road exit in Robinson Township. Police did not identify the injured trooper.
