Charles A. “Chuck” “Punky” Kessler, 61, of Butler, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023, at Brighton Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, Beaver.

Born Dec. 24, 1961, in Connellsville, Pa., he was the son of the late Charles Mauk and Arlene Black Kessler.

A resident of Butler for the past 22 years, Mr. Kessler worked as a personal caregiver and a stay-at-home dad. He helped grant wishes for Journey of Hope for the terminally ill.

He is survived by his wife, Jill Davis-Kessler, to whom he was married for 12 years; three daughters, Elizabeth Kessler, Amanda Davis and Christen Kradel; two sons, C.J. Kessler and Jonathan Kessler; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Lee and Kim Kessler, John Kessler and Lance and Tonya Kessler; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Charlene and Tom Teets, Robin Clawson and Kelly and Pat Mckeel; 13 grandchildren, including Makenna and Boe, with whom he was very close; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Jeffrey and Lonnie Kessler; and his grandson, Ryan.

KESSLER — Visitation for Charles A. Kessler, who died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023, will be held from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, followed by funeral services at 7:30 p.m. at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS, 191 Liberty St., Perryopolis, Pa.
