Butler’s own Aiden Bartley was one of 20 pediatric cancer patients invited to PNC Park for its Cancer Support Game in conjunction with Lending Hearts. Each of the children received the opportunity to meet with David Bednar and receive their very own personalized Pittsburgh Pirates jersey.
Aiden, 9, had the opportunity to throw out the first pitch before Sunday’s Aug. 27 game against the Chicago Cubs, and received a signed baseball from Pirates catcher Endy Rodriguez.
